Spanish writer, Iria Collazo visits Tbilisi as part of an exchange residency program

Spanish writer Iria Collazo is visiting Tbilisi within the frames of an exchange residency program organized by the Writers' House and supported by the UNESCO project "Tbilisi - World Book Capital".

September 3 to September 30, Iria Collazo will live in the residence of the Writers' House and finish working on her book. The writer reveals that the plot of her next work is inspired by the story of her grandparents who died during the pandemic.

Exchange residency programs, organized by the Writers' House and supported by the UNESCO project "Tbilisi - World Book Capital", will be held in September and October in La Coruna (Spain) and Lviv (Ukraine). 

 

The project partners are the Writers' Residence in La Coruna, the Lviv City Council, and the Georgian authors participating in the "Lviv - UNESCO City of Literature". Georgian authors participating in the exchange residency program were ed as a result of an open contest  of the Writers' House and "Tbilisi - World Book Capital". Tako Poladashvili and Tea Topuria will go to La Coruna residence, while Nana Abuladze will live in Lviv residence and will attend the international festival "Lviv Book Forum" on September 15-19.

 

After Iria Collazo, the residence of the Writers' House will host Ukrainian writer Anastasia Levkova, additionally, until the end of the year it also plans to announce exchange programs in cooperation with international partners, including the collaboration with the residence of UNESCO City of Literature in Obidos, Portugal.
