Zeinab Barnovi
"History"

Zeinab Barnovi is a sociologist, who focused on photography since 1990s. She wasthe first woman, who worked as a press photographer for Saqinform, an information-analytical agency of Georgia. She also worked at the Press Service of the Presidentof Georgia and as a photo editor of the Anabechdi magazine.In

2005-2006 Barnovi worked at the Moscow Fine Art Fair, a world-famous exhibitionhall, represented by prominent galleries: Academy of Arts Gallery, Art Deco, Bvlgari,Chanel, Magnum Arts, etc. At the same time, she worked for the following popularmagazines: Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Mezonin, L’Officiel. Zeinab Barnovi participatedin several international exhibitions. She received awards in the followingnominations: the best Genre Photo, the best Artistic Photo.

The exhibition will present Zeinab Barnovi’s collection of works 1990s, depictingthe capital city of Georgia that went through the civil war and waiting for a betterfuture. Tbilisi, seen this harsh perspective, seems extremely poetic.
