On 18 December 2017, in relation to the 90th Anniversary of Rezo Tabukashvili’s birth, an exhibition was held at Writers’ House. The exhibition displayed rare books and photos Rezo Tabukashvili’s personal collection / archive taken by Vittorio Sella, an Italian alpinist and photographer.
Rezo Tabukashvili contributed to the study of the rebellion of a Georgian Battalion on Island of Texel, and for the legal and moral rehabilitation of these rebels. He found the graves of more than eighty soldiers that had been lost during the Second World War. He was the one to discover and return to the Georgian national memory the names of Mikhail Tamarashvili, Mikhail Tarkhnishvili, Grigol Feradze, Petre Kharischirashvili, Tamar Papava and Akaki Papava, Vittorio Sella et al.
