In 2016, on the initiative of Writers’ House of Georgia, in the framework of the memorandum of partnership with Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University, project Talks on Literature was launched at Telavi University.
Telavi University educational programs are focused on the study of the Georgian and Foreign (German, French, English, and Russian) Languages and Literature. Writers’ House aimed to support literary educational programs, their decentralization, and partnerships with regional and cultural educational institutions. Accordingly, in agreement with the administration of Telavi University, a series of lectures was planned, mostly for students of the Faculty of Humanities, and, generally, for all interested students.
Within the framework of the project, public lectures were held about German, French, and Russian literature. Participants and presenters of the series of Talks on Literature were Tamar Japaridze, Giorgi Maisuradze, and Shota Papava.
The implementation of the project was facilitated with the financing Tbilisi Goethe Institute, British Council Georgia, and Institut La Francaise.
