Georgian writer Rezo Cheishvili passed away at the age of 82.

Rezo Cheishvili was born on 24th of April, 1933. At different times he was member of script board ar film studio "Georgian Film", editor-in-chief of magazine "Gantiadi", artistic director and executive director at Kutaisi Theatre. Rezo Cheishvili was the script writer of several short and feature films. 

Rezo Cheishvili has received Shota Rustaveli National Award, also Georgian National Award. In 2012 he received Saba Award for his special contribution to developing literature.
