On June 19^th, at 15:00, Writer’s House of Georgia, together with Children and Youth National Center will be presenting a major literary competition for beginner prose writers  - “our adventures”; 14-18 year old young people all regions of Georgia who have the talent for writing will be involved in the project. 

At the press conference, the competition’s video commercial will be presented, the contest jury members  - well recognized people in this field - will be invited at the event: Teona Dolenjashvili – writer, advisor to the Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia, Giorgi Lobjanidze – writer and translator, Irakli Javakhadze – writer and editor of “Literaturuli Gazeti”. A memorandum of understanding will be drawn up between Children and Youth National Center and the Writer’s House of Georgia.

The competition starts on June 19^th and ends on October 2^nd.

The competition’s ion phase will end on September 15^th. The working group of Children and Youth National Center and the Writer’s House will 24 beginner prose writers and on September 29^th  and the jury will give them an assignment at Aleqsandre Chavchavadze’s house museum in Tsinandali. The young writers will work on their assignment for two days and afterwards the jury will announce the best works. One of the contesters will be “Literaturuli Gazeti”s special choice. At the end of the year, all stories will be gathered in a single collection.

The competition for beginner prose writers “Our Adventures” aims to encourage, support and popularize the talented youngsters throughout the country; the slogan of the contest is “your reader awaits you”.
