The Writers' House project "Children Advise Children", which was announced in April and was held for the second time this year, has been completed.
Students of VI-IX grades of Georgian schools participated in the project.
As part of the project, the adolescents made video recordings to recommend one of the books to their peers to read in the summer.
This year, the interest in the competition increased and a total of 169 videos were submitted for the competition. The videos were posted on the Facebook page of the Writers’ House
The winners were revealed by the majority of votes:
I place - Mikheil Beruashvili, public school N175 of Tbilisi - "Is human human?!" by Ilia Chavchavadze;
II place - Barbara Mkheidze, the first public school of Jikhashkari - "The Book Thief" by Marcus Zusak;
III place - Sidonia Iakobadze, Public School N92 of Tbilisi - "Wonder" by R.J. Palacio;
Incentive prizes will be awarded to:
Alina Yusupova, Public School N7 of Batumi - "Between Shades of Gray" by Ruta Sepetys;
Beso Chikviladze, Kutaisi Akaki Tsereteli First Public School - "Auggie & Me" by R.J. Palacio;
Favorite of the Writers' House - Nikoloz Lobjanidze, Public School in the village of Ghebi, Oni Municipality - "The Bear" by William Faulkner.
