Writers House to present a nominee for 2022 Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award

In 2022, the Writers' House will present a nominee for Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award for the first time.

The Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award was created in 2002 by the Swedish government to protect the rights of children.

Each year, the award awards an author, an illustrator or an organization worldwide that has made a significant contribution to the development of children's and youth literature.

The Astrid Lindgren Award is the greatest award in children's and adolescent literature and aims to motivate the habit and the culture of reading among youth.

It should be noted that until 2022, only the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia had the right to present a nominee for the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award Georgia. 2022, along with the National Library, the Writers' House will also present a nominee.

Detailed information about the award can be found here.
