Within the frames of the exhibition “Rosemarie Trockel” by ifa-Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen, students are invited to take part in the online workshop “Writing for the Arts”, led by German curator and educator An Paenhuysen.
The two-part workshop, provides spac for critical thinking in art to experiment and expand.
This workshop sets out to sharpen your skills and knowledge in critical thinking. How to write and think about art? How do you confide in your inner voice? Writing will be used as a tool to think about ideas and responses.
By employing specific strategies, formats and styles, the workshop will pave the way to fresh perspectives and approaches to writing about art. The main idea is create a space to play, travel, find freedom beyond the rational in artistic writing, to be inspired by the joy and creativity of language and its possibilities and potential to connect and impact others.
With the workshop, Teh Goethe Institute aims to trigger formation of the community of critical art thinkers and stimulate the sharing that is crucial in developing a critical voice.
