The Writers' House held its joint Literary Award "Litera" with the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Georgia and the Writers 'House. The winners of the fifth award were revealed in six nominations.

38 work were shortliseted out of 126 

Out of 126 competitive works, 38 books were shortlisted and the winners of Litera 2020 were:

• Best book Design of the Year:

Tinatin Chkhikvishvili for Jana Amirejibi's book "I - a real Kokosha", Artanuji Publishing;

• Best Debut of the Year:

Nini Eliashvili - "After the point", Intelekti Publishing;

• Best Documentary Prose:

Giorgi Maisuradze - "Another Language", Indigo Publishing;

• Best Poetry Collection of the Year:

Shota Iatashvili - "Poet of the beginning of the XXI century", Intelekti Publishing;

• Best Prose Collection of the Year:

Eka Kevanishvili - "Nothing about my mother", Books in Batumi Publishing;

• Best novel of the Year:

Irakli Samsonadze - "The Funeral Wake and the Wedding", Intelekti Publishing;

The winners were awarded monetary prizes along with the awards.

Literary Award Litera was created in 2015 and has been awarded annually since then. In 2016-2019, the winners of the Literary Award "Litera" were: Besik Kharanauli, Vakhtang Javakhadze, Naira Gelashvili, Zviad Ratiani, Zurab Karumidze, Nana Ekvtimishvili, Archil Kikodze, Rostom Chkheidze, Giorgi Shonia, Soso Meshveliani, Lela Samniashvili, Beka Khurkhuli, giorgi Shonia, Nika Lashkhia, Natalia Avaliani, Maxime Machaidze and others.
