The new project of the Writers' House "Children Advise Children", which was announced in April of this year, has been completed.
As part of the project, the adolescents recommended one of the books to their peers to read over the summer through a video.
A total of 107 videos were submitted for the competition. The videos were posted on the Writers House's Facebook page.
Voting ended on September 20.
The winners were revealed by a majority of votes:
1st place - Mikheil Beruashvili, Tbilisi 175th school - J. D. Salinger's "The Catcher in the Rye";
2nd place - Giorgi Gogelia, School "Genius" - R. J. Palacio's "Auggie and me";
3rd place - Anna Ana Zakutashvili, School "Genius" - Anne Frank Diary.
Incentive prizes will be awarded to:
Tamri Gelashvili, Komarov School - Dan Brown's "Angels and Demons";
Cecil Eragia, Poti St. Nicholas School - Khalid Hossein's "The Kite Runner";
Nikoloz Kortava, School "Opiza" - Geanne Birdsall's "The Penderwicks";
Martha Ivanishvili, Orpiri Public School - Alexandre Dumas' "Count of Monte Cristo";
Alika Gihkashvili, Teofane Davitia Poti # 1 Public School - Brandon Mull "Wild Born".
