On September 19-20, in Zugdidi Botanical Garden the Contemporary Art Festival F5 will be held for the third time, the festival is organized by the Writers' House and financially supported by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia.
For the first time this year, a program of modern Georgian documentaries will be added to the traditional literary and musical program of F5, which is presented by the Georgian National Film Center.
Participants of the literary program of the festival will be: Zurab Karumidze, Tamta Melashvili, Dato Barbakadze, Shalva Bakuradze, Tsotne Tskhvediani, Keti Kantaria, Ani Kopalishvili.
The festival will screen and discuss the films of Amiran Dolidze and Irina Jordania.
Shota Adamashvili and the group "Tserili" will host the final musical part of the festival.
Zugdidi Contemporary Art Festival "F5" has been held since 2018 and its aim is to decentralize the art process and promote cultural and creative life in the region with the involvement of young artists.
Since 2020, Zugdidi Contemporary Art Festival has been united under the umbrella of Tbilisi International Festival of Literature. Tbilisi International Festival of Literature, organized by the Writers' House, has been held annually since 2015 and is an important part of the country's literary processes and one of the most popular cultural events. In 2020, Tbilisi International Festival of Literature, with the participation of Georgian authors and translators will acquire a regional scale and will relocate to the Zugdidi Contemporary Art Festival.
Zugdidi Contemporary Art Festival is supported by Intelekti Publishing House, Georgian National Film Center (GNFC) and Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Destination Management Organization (DMO).
