The winners of the Science Fiction Genre stories Contest "The World Tomorrow" are known

On July 7, the winners of the Science Fiction Genre Stories Contest "The World Tomorrow" were revealed at the Writers' House. Due to the existing situation, the winners were announced on the Facebook page of the Writers' House through online participation. 

 The winners of the contest are:

  • First Prize
    Nia Rekhviashvili - "Journey in the Photo" (Lagodekhi, 2nd school of the village of Apeni)
  • Second Prize
    Giorgi Khitarishvili - " do geese go in winter when the lake freezes?" (Tbilisi, Opiza School).
  • Third Prize
    Natalie Chitaia - "Alternatives to the Future" (Tbilisi, Komarov 199th School)

The winners will receive the vouchers of GEL 500, 400 and 300 of the store "Zoomer"

The jury of the contest, whose members were Irakli Lomouri, Zurab Papiashvili, Lela Shubitidze, Nino Bekishvili and Vaso Guleuri, reviewed 99 stories submitted for the contest, out of which 10 finalists were ed. Along with the winners, the finalists of the contest were:

 

  • Tamar Abdushelishvili - "Fantastic Story" (Chiatura 2nd School)
  • Vika Vanishvili - "Hidden Future" (Gori, Sveneti Public School)
  • Andria Kikonishvili - "Refugees" (Tbilisi, Komarov 199th School)
  • Ani Kobakhidze - "The Cry of the Origins" (Tbilisi, 161st School)
  • Salome Lomidze - "I feel Cold" (Khashuri, 1st School)
  • Nia Rekhviashvili - "Journey in the Photo" (Lagodekhi, 2nd school of the village of Apeni)
  • Dachi Rukhadze - "How I fell in love" (Tbilisi, 175th school)
  • Ani Poghosyan - "Medium 17" (Ninotsminda, 2nd school of the village Gandzi)
  • Natalie Chitaia - "Alternatives to the Future" (Tbilisi, Komarov 199th School)
  • Giorgi Khitarishvili - " do geese go in winter when the lake freezes?" (Tbilisi, Opiza School).

All the seven finalists will receive an incentive prize - a 50 GEL voucher for the Biblus booksotre.

The Science Fiction Genre Stories Contest "The World Tomorrow" was announced on April 8, 2020 and the high school students of Georgian private and public schools were eligible to participate.
