Writers' House, Georgian Publishers and Booksellers Association, with support of th Ininstry of Education, Science, Culture and SPort of Georgia, worked intensively for several months, to aprropriately present Georgia and Georgian literature on international literary and publishing platforms; a number of events and business meetings were planned on London (March 10-12), Leipzig (March 12-15) and Paris (March 20-23) international book fairs. However, due to the worldwide threat posed by the Corona virus, all three book fairs have been canceled.
On March 20-23, 2020, at the Paris International Book Fair (Salon du Livre de Paris), Georgia would be present for the first time with a national stand and diverse literary-cultural program. Within the framework of the program, meetings of Georgian writers were planned both at the special thematic scenes of the Paris Book Fair and in various literary spaces of the city. Participating in this Book Fair for Georgia is the best opportunity to promote Georgian literature in Francophone countries, and means establishing relationships between Georgian and Francophone publishers and entering of Georigan literature to a different market.
