 Writers’ House announces contest for students to study at literature and creative writing studio.

Adolescents aged 13-15 who have passion and interest for fiction will be accepted at the studio.

The studio will be led by Davit Gabunia, writer, playwright and laureate of Saba Award and and writer and translator, laureate of Saba Award, Irma Tavelidze.

At the studio, together with the teachers, students will have the opportunity to read and discuss books, learn about origins and peculiarities of literary genres, will write essays, work on their own literary texts etc.

The lessons at the studio will be practical – with weekly homework and diverse exercises which will promote development of students’ writing and discussion skills.

At the end of each studying year, the students will have the opportunity to publicly present their essays and literary texts at Writers’ House.

The lessons will be held twice a week for two hours.

 

Studies will begin on March 1st and will end at the end of June. The studying process will be renewed in October. The students will be accepted at the studio based on the contest.

The contest essays are accepted until February 14th.

The cost of studying is Gel 40 per month (for IDP-s and socially vulnerable studying is free).
