We would like to respond to media and society's interest related to the items that went missing Writers' House in 2018. 

In 2017 we started preparation works to open Davit Sarajishvili  memorial museum, accordingly the Eastern Room underwent restoration-rehabilitation works with financial suport of private sector. Over these years we purchased a set of dinnerware with Sarajishvili monogram  that was lost at various times, and we created a special fund to return the furniture that was taken out of Davit Sarajishvili's house in earlier years.

In jul 2018, in the process of rehabilitation we discovered that certain items were missing the store room (estimated by the audit company at GEL 850 altogether). We would also like to add that every item on the balance of Writers' House is registered and evlauated by the audit in 2011, when Writers' House opened.

Since its openening until 2018 Writers' House was secured by LEPL "Scurity Police Departmnet", which doubled its feeand within the frames of our strictly defined budget we were unable to use their service. Security provision was continued by a winner company that participated in tender. It was this company's employee that took the items in 2018 the store room. On July 25th we informed the police about theft, the case isfiled and investigation is underway.
