The jury of Vakhushti Kotetishvili Literary Award revealed the books and publications that reached the final

In book nomination two collections reached the final:

Medea Zalishvili - “Translations”, Artanuji Publishing

Shota Iatashvili – “Nuosu songs” by Jidi Majia, Saunje Publishing

The following publications were shortlisted in the nomination poetry translations printed in literary periodicals: 

Dato Barbakadze – Nikolaus Lenau, journal Akhali Saunje

Giorgi Lobjanidze – Jaromyr Tiplt, Journal Akhali Saunje

Dalila Gogia – Diti Ronen, Akhali Saunje, Ron Padgett journal Indigo

Bachana Chabradze, Polin Pico, journal Indigo

Karda Kardukhi – William Carlos Williams, journal Akhali Suanje

poetry translations published as a book/electronic book and publications of poetry translations in literary periodicals in 2017 were eligible to participate in the contest.

The monetary prize for book nomination is 1800 Gel, for publication – 700 Gel

The award ceremony of winners will be held on December 24^th, at Writes’ House. 

Writers’ House announces this contest annually together with Diogene Publishing. The project is funded by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia.
